I know this sounds really crazy, but I went back into 1999. The weirdest part was how I got there.

I was on my bed trying to sleep. I closed my eyes, but when I opened em I was in my old appartment. It din't feel like sleeping at all! I was actually looking outside. Then I remember my dad walking up to my bed, then bam, I am in my new appartment making my first dual procesor mobo. But that wasn't all! I went to my other room, and I had my current dual computer!

So i boot it up, and see that I am connected to a 10 Mb line(instead of 100 Mbit like I have now). Then for some reason, I ask em what year it is! 1999 I remember them clearly say. I was like omg, I travelled back into time. So I went to imdb.com, and it was very different, with 1999 movies on top! I was shocked. I also remember walking to my other room and telling my father(who was assembling a motherboard) not to get the new fans(which I bought recently). Then I go back to my room, all this time I knew I was back in time, so I had to go to darkbasic.com and register an old nick name, but I couldn't turn the comuter on again. Then Something happened, and I was in 22** I don't remember the last two digits 81 I think, but I was infornt of the computer(Acer, acer laptop) The boot up was well, very fast it just told my the battery, Value and some other things about my computer. The Windows was very different also, it was grayisher. I rmember dragging my cursor to bottom right to check the time, and saw 22**!!! Then the last thing I remember doing before waking up was going to google.com, but being redirected. I saw kids on my computer(on a website actually) playing some sort of a game, where they were exploding into little balls, and trying to hit other balls to score. This 1 guy/girl scored somehow, and got 1 million points!

Anyway, that's the long store, it's all cluttered because I just woke up I know this is the weirdest thing I posted, but it's the truth.

Also, I remember the windows was "Clustering" or some sort of beginning phase when I started, and it said please wait.

Pretty cool ain't it?

P.S: I rmember some space movie, I think it was Apollo or something

hehe, cool dream

I myself had a nice and cozy dream about playing frisby in the park with some lady.

The frisby was about 2 or 3 feet in diameter, and was very light, it had a boomerang effect and was quite fun to play with It wasn't solid, but rather had extruding arms from the center, many of them, and they were held together by some sort of cloth..

It was nice and warm out ^_^

In reality, out here, it's freezing, and snow and ice.. I miss summer

Once I had a dream about Halo 2...
me and some of my friends had just played Halo 2(LAN) for 11 solid hours. It was a very cool dream.

I just sat there and played Halo 2 with my friends. And I was actually good at it, and my team always won. And after every match, I woke up and thought: ,, Cool!", and then I fell asleep again, and played another Team Slayer...

My friends at school called me a nerd (They might be right, because once I was talking with a shopkeeper in a Xbox game without I even noticed it).

As crazy as it sounds, I've had similar experiences with similar results, I'm talking about the grayish windows and google, I don't quite remember, but I think Microsoft had merged with Apple, and when I camee back I didn't wake up or anything, I was sitting at the computer, finishing the sentence I'd been typing on my homework.

Well, I'm trying aren't I.....

Rather annoyingly we will never know if your amazing predictions will come true or not. Write all this down in silly poem type format that can be taken many different ways and is hard to understand. That should confuse them. You probably just predicted Neofrat, destroyer of galaxies, or something.

As a backup we could freeze Mouse and get him to dethaw in 2283. He can then take over the DB forum at the time (with his elder/ Buck Rogers powers) and find out how much of your amazing predictions came true.

Or you could buy a carbon monoxide detector just incase. Or check for a gas leak.

As to dreams, I had an amazingly good one about Spy Hunter once (like in 1985ish). Was crystal clear. Could even read the inlay. Actually believed I owned it for a good 20 secs after waking. Class.

* Bill Gates won't be dead, he'll be cryogenically frozen just before the point of death ready to be revived when technology has advanced enough to cure him of whatever was about to kill him. In fact he may already have been revived. Alternatively someone might have found his cryo-tube and hit it with a crowbar just to spoil his plans.

* Pong is only what... 30? 280 years would make Microsoft seem ancient like muskets are ancient in warfare now. On the other hand maybe Microsoft will adapt with the times and still be around in 280 years, who knows.

* You'll be dead or cryogenically frozen too, surely?

* I'd say 5D at least

* Yup.

* Now _that_ I doubt.

Steven Hawkins has a theory on intellegent life being able to exist in only 3 dimensions (the 3 dimensions being of space, 4 is time)...i dont understand it

I think companies will crack/hack and indi programmers will complain of losing money to it

I don't think of time being a spacial dimension, so I don't much like this idea that it's the fourth one. I'd say it was a constantly changing property of the three dimensions we can perceive.

@neofish - I don't care what Hawking thinks about it. If I said 5D there'll be 5D websites in the future!

If time wasn't the 4th dimension, then the only other possibility I see, would be other universes in the same physical position. But then again, there's a good chance I'm sleeping on the keyboard right now, typing this with my face as I roll about.

I think you probably should.

I had a slightly odd dream last night. I dreamed through a conversation with my dad about paying my driving instructor which I had this morning, only the conversation went differently the second time round. Less dream logic

Everyone says time is the 4th dimension, although technically since we defined the dimensions ourselves, there is no 'right' answer, it's simply what becomes 'accepted' within the scientific community. However, having said that, I like the idea of multiple universes in the same physical location (similar to Philip Pullman's Dark Matter trilogy). Chances are we're not even aware of the 4th dimension though, if you existed in a 2D world then you'd have no idea what the 3rd dimension was, as such, the same probably applies to us. Either that, or there is no 4th dimension.

I theorize( oh yeah ) that the fourth dimension is time, and the fifth dimension is the distance two points in a folded universe...like that thing they do in Dune.

why couldant time be like a puddle, ripples coming out of the center representing every second, or something like that, and because it would be coming out of the center, there would be no future until we got there.

Dimensions are just orthogonal vectors. Time most certianly is orthogonal to the other three so it is a dimension. wether it is the fourth, fifth, or first is up to the man counting.

On dimensions, I personally wonder if there was a fourth dimension (Length, Width, Depth, and something else) we wouldn't be able to experience it or comprehend it really.

On dreams, once I dreamt I was a rock hunter.

In that case, there is an easy way to find out. Let's all go ask Mario if he ever thought about moveing sideways, instead of just back and forth.

If we do have multiple universes in the same location, time might as well be the 4th dimension... if not the 5th.

One time I had a dream I was Spider Man, and I had to save this girl at my school, but she wasn't Mary Jane. Anyways, I ran out of web, and got beat up by the bad guys (who were, ironically, kids from my school). True story.

I also had a dream, where I thought I was awake in my room in the middle of the night, and the power went out. I stumbled through the dark to try and find the fuse box thingy, but I saw a bolt of lightning that scared the crap out of me. I ran back to my room to find a little Gnome sitting there, and I screamed "Merdax! MERDAX!" .
