Hi


KLU007 found a bug with the markers in fpsc(Win zone, sound zone) you can shoot the markers around in the room with a rocket launcher (Bazooka).
you just make a room. Place a win zone in a corner of the room. Place a bazooka so you can pick it up.
Shoot a couple of times in the corner with the winnig zone and walk over there. Now you can`t win because the winning zones i bounced around in the room. Try to walk around in the room and see if you can find it

This bug is discovered by KLU007 and reproduced by The Nerd.

Yep, just tried it. The Win Zone moved to the back of the room when I shot it many times.

I experienced this with the wall mounted medical unit. I think the IsImmobile flag just needs to be set.

You can`t set the IsImmobile on markers. This bug should be looked at this week

Oh I agree it's a bug, but I'll bet you can add the flag somewhere in the .fpe file. I'll look at it tonight and see if I can figure out a quick solution for you.

There's also another bug with the winzones that I discovered.
It's REALLY weird, so It's kinda hard to explain, don't blame me for a lousy explanation:

We'll take this step by step.
First we make a room. It has to be around 6x6, and at least two FPSC tiles in height. No roof. Then we add a LIFT TUBE on the ground, place it in a corner. Then place a LIFT TOP on top of the LIFT TUBE.
Position the player start marker, and a bazooka with ammo.
Then grab the WinZone, and place it INSIDE the LIFT TOP.
Run the game, pick up the bazooka, shoot on the LIFT TUBE and see what happens... Yes, you win the game!

This is the strangest bug I've heard of yet...

Fixed (I think)

In the file:
FPSC\Files\entitybank\_markers\Win Zone.fpe

adding the line:
isimmobile = 1

To this section:


Seemed to do the trick. Need someone else to test this and verify since I may have messed something up during my quick tests.

If it works it should probably be put into all the markers (hint hint nudge nudge Lee )

Amazing how some users can get right into the bones of the product, not one week before it was released. I am pleased of the decision to externalise as much of the software as possible, it leaves so much up to individual flare You might also try STRENGTH=0 in the FPE file too, though ths ultimate answer is for Lee to come off his holidays and actually fix it so markers cannot be destroyed
