donno if this is the right place to post this, but dose anyone have a dark brown leather texture (cowhide)........thats about it.

try opening paintshop pro...
make a new image 512x125
colour it brown using the paintbrush
then make a new "raster layer"
colour it grey with airbrush at 30%
and then add a fine leather texture

tada a nice leathery look - if you add a multiple or overlay effect to it does look quite nice

could also do it in Adobe photoshop if you got it, make some blobs and dots randomly, add some filters(for leather effect-"difference cloud" filter might do the trick)and play around with it a bit and yeah, hopefully it turns out the way you want.

I made clouds with the ocean ripple effect.(lol, looks alright I guess)

there are leather plugin effects for photoshop ... but i don't use it much and wouldn't want to explain howto achieve it within it

i prefer paintshop - but i guess that would probably give a similar effect
