I'm going on 'Who Want's To Be A Millionaire'

It's being filmed on 4th April. I don't know when it is being broadcast yet. I will post back here on the 5th to let you know (but only if I do well!).

Anyway ... I just wanted to let you know.

Personally I would make sure my "good" friends are all lecturers in different subjects from the local college.

My old landlord phoned the "millionaire" line every day for like a year or two and didn't get in. Apparently got the question correct every time too. Really clever guy with general knowledge. So luck of the draw I guess.

Personally I would practice on hitting buttons quickly. The first section has got to be the hardest bit. After that unless you are a retard, or if the audience are retards on the ask the audience question, then should be easy to get at least a couple of grand.

Oh, and don't forget who is your best friend matey. Ahem, I mean all those amazing conversations we have had over the years. Failing that, buy me a Ferrari and I won't release the photos....

Heh, out of interest, I would test out people here for phone a friend. You never know how clever people are, or what they do for a living. If you have like 5 friends or whatever, then no harm in one from here to cover techy stuff. Know I wouldn't trust my dad with a question about computers for instance. Oh, and I'm not volenteering; I'm crap with general knowledge. It's the Welsh thing...

Cheers

It's usually braodcast the day after filming (I think). A guy from my year is going to be on countdown next week (1st April - honest to god nto a joke). You'll recognise him as he has bright ginger hair.

Quote: "Need to know...how many friends can you nominate for "Phone a Friend"?"

You are allowed five people - obviously you can only choose one of them though.

Quote: "...and do they charge long distance?"

No ... My friends are in Cyprus, Canada, Serbia, Scotland and England.

Quote: "How did u get on Who Wants 2 Be a Millionaire???)"

By dialling 09068 44 44 44 then answering the question correctly. They then called me back and told me I had been narrowed down to a short list of 50 people and I had to answer another 'nearest to' question.
It was "What is the floor area of the Tate Modern Gallery in square feet" ... they gave me seven seconds to reply ... I said 12,000 and amazingly I was in the top ten (the actual answer is 371,000).

Ok I do know when it will be broadcast but I wasn't going to say unless I did well. It will be shown on UK TV on 30th April.

For those of you that want to know me when I am on ... I will be introduced as Craig McFarlane from North Yorkshire and I look a lot like this handsome devil But I won't be wearing the glasses

The UK version was where it started. Has an added bonus that 1 million pounds is 1.86 million dollars, so is worth a lot more too. Although a lot people reckon the US version is easier, much like the Weakest link wasn't as nasty to people when it went to the US.

Unfortunately, we have the adverse effect where the Australian version of $1 million is only worth like $20.

What's in it for you?

You get to win a million pounds! That's what's in it for you!

Congrats on getting onto the show

I expect you to give a reference to us or TGC or DB at one stage or another, or wear a shirt that is bright yellow with big black writting saying "HEY! TGC RoXoRs!"

Oh, and would it be possible ( only if you actually make some sort of referece ) that someone record the ep, digitize it, and let me see?
Thanks

Jess.

We own the lot don't we? ie. licence it out to like loads of countries. And when I mean we, I mean Chris Tarrant. Good old Chris is doing pretty good. Didn't he also think of the idea? Bit of a bump up since we were kids.

Doubt if you can wear shirts with words on, but do something like : Chris : "So, which year did the famous romanian opera singer Iva Verdinortinoff's husband's french poodle leave home?" You : "Hmmm, tough one.... I could have sworn that it was the Romanian poet Darkbasicoff that had the french poodle... you know the one married to Boris Gaymecreatorsolich.... and brother of Buyitnowsicon..." Chris : "Do you want to win a million quid motherf**ker?".

Top stuff

Cheers

Ps. If you did that I'm sure Lee would stump up Game creator products for life. Perhaps a small statue outside the offices....

No can do I'm afraid. I can't wear anything with writing on it. There is actually a long list of things I can't wear.
Nothing Black, white, Navy blue, red, pastel shades, strips, or spots (the list goes on ...) Somthing to do with the cameras I presume.
