when you send 1 packet containling lots of infomation about your co-ordinateas etc.. separated by a star, read my mid$() and all that stuff.
can any one give me the code to decode this packet of info. (i could do it if i want to) i just can't be bothered to do it)

Do you mean like separating the different values in the string? Then try this: (contains X,Y and Z)

+ Code Snippet

rem Array containing position X, Y and Z
dim position(3)

function decode(str$)

   c=0
   t=1

   while t<len(str$)
      if mid$(str$,t)="*"
         position(c)=val(left$(str$,t-1))
         inc c
         t=1
         str$=right$(str$,len(str$)-(t-1))

Hope it'll work, wrote it without testing it... I think you'll understand the basic meaning of it though...
