Please run the attached program which loads a textured object then clones it. The clone has no texture. Other object's I've cloned have textures but not this one. Can anyone venture a guess why? Thanks in advance.

To run the program edit the path in the program to point to the object and texture I've included in the attachment.

I'm using version 5.8 of DBPro

Thanks for verifying it. Do you know why some clones have textures and some don't?

I thought that cloned objects always had to have a texture object command applied to them?

I thought it was supposed to clone textures too...

I asked Lee this very question at the recent Q&A. I think he said that cloned objects are supposed to have the same texture as the original as a default. Sorry for sounding uncertain - I was too busy having a private chat to CattleRustler when I should have been concentrating on Lee's answer.

Tried several tests to replicate this -

* creating primitives, texturing them and cloning

* loading models that already have textures applied to them and cloning

* loading models that have preset textures, then apply custom textures and cloning

In all these tests the textures have been correctly cloned and from looking at the code I can't see any reason why this would fail. Will mark this as fixed in 5.9 unless someone can show this failing with the relevant media I need to test here.
