Anime Blood:

The zip was double packed, so you had to unpack it twice. Also it was built using the new 5.8 update, so it would not run if you have not updated your dark basic pro.

However, I do know that Yahoo can sometimes cause problems with zip files, so I have sent it as an exe (un-zipped) to you again. Sorry for any problems last time.

Ojaveda:

Everyone will be getting the setup program today.

Anime Blood:

No....It means you have not upgraded your DBP to 5.8.

If you want I can compile it again using a pre-5.8 which will work.

Do you want me to do that, or are you foing to update to 5.8?

Cheers

Looks like you had some problems with Anime Blood's gmail account. I also have a gmail account. If you have any problems with mine then an alternative e-mail would be kryptonium@aol.com

This looks great! Too bad my comp won't support it, neither will my e-mail or my internet, so I'll just have to sit in a corner and watch.

New Update

Just to let everyone know that the beta is on target and we now have about 85% of the 2D done in to the 3D.

We had a small problem with the server as it had a cap on it of 30 ftp simultaneous connections. It was an "auto" feature that we had to disable if we wanted to...But no one knew about it!
So when we started to get errors over connection, we thought it was our code. Thankfully it was not so now that’s sorted out we will send you all the set-up program. Sorry for the delay but we needed to find out if it was us or not.

@Anime Blood

How is the title screen coming on? Let me know ASAP please.

@Mirthin_

Did you get the email I sent you over the music? Let me know how far you have gone with it.

Hi Reaperman, I got your email. I've done another stage in the mood music range - It's between quiet and action-packed.

I'll send it to you straight away, and start work on the battle music.

@Anime Blood

What is going on with the title screen? We are now 90% done with the conversion and we need to know what stage your at. Not trying to rush you, but can you please let me know soon over it.

@Mirthin_

VERY good music. Rich and varied, fits the game perfectly.
I sent you an email over it, but I thought I would post and say it...You deserve the credit.

Cheers

D_3_D.dll is a non-standard component of directX 9, which usually ships with the SDK (DXSDK). Either that, or you EXE is damaged/corrupt, since the normalised d3d dll that comes with DX9 is called 'd3d.dll' (oh, the irony!)

Still looks a cool game, and good luck, but remember; with the d3d.dll thing, the customer is always right (Animeblood) so dont always assume the problem is on their end.[/u]

Hope you sort out the d3d thing, but Im probably posting, and Animeblood/you has already fixed it. Oh well.

Ok.

We have NOT fallen off the planet, we just had a little problem with a bug in the code.

If everyone will go check their email, you should find that you have the startup program.

The size of the email was 3.86 meg.

Delivery to the following recipients did fail:

Chris.Bagley@Gmail.com
Magellan_Studios@juno.com
skeletorsks87@gmail.com
soapyfish@gmail.com (I did send it to the other address Soapy, at kryptonium@aol.com, and it has not bounced back so you will have it there)

So would the above take a look at their accounts and clear a bit of room please.

@Anime Blood

Still dont have the screen from you. Whats going on with it?

Ok Peter, I have just sent it again to the gmail account.
(Though when I look at the failed addresses above, there does seem to be LOTS of gmail bounces!?!)

@Avan Madisen:

Yes, I did send it to your email address. It has not bounced back, so you should have it. If you have space in your account, and if its not there by tomorrow, I will send it again to you.

Well, maybe Gmail does not like 3.86 meg attachments?
magellanstudios@gmail.com also bounced back!!

This is causing problems. The thing is that with the set up programs they must be sent by email as each program is a little different to all the others. The main game demo is just a single download via ftp, but the set up program is not.

Anyone got any ideas why Gmail keeps bouncing???

Stalker and Sett:

Glad you got it sorted out.

Just to explain so that your not confused.

The program you have is the game set up program, it is NOT the game beta demo. As soon as the others (there is about 10 of them left) set up their profiles, I will email you a direct link to download the beta demo.

You can then play the game.

After everyone has beta tested the demo, and given feedback on here, we should then be able to release it as a full game to the rest of the community. I think that that should only take about 2 weeks or so, and then hundreds of DB gamers can join in.
Of cause, those who have been play testing it for us will still be able to continue playing it, at whatever level they reached, and all the team hope that over time the game can develop more and grow in to a truly huge and involved on-line MMORPG.

Cheers

Gmail is screwing around right now, keeps saying something to the effect of "Oops, I f***** up again..." so I'll have to see if I can check tonight. The only other email address I hav is hotmail, which Microsoft still haven't upgraded to 250mb and 10mb attachments...

[edit] I just checked gmail again and it seems to be working, but I haven't received an email from you.

thx, it worked...i made an account and customized my texture...but i was wondering if there is any way to customize the "tail" graphics? because that part is still with the blue checker pattern while the rest is my texture

and i'm assuming that i have to wait till we actually start playing...

@Anime Blood

Thanks. We like it, but its just too dark. Can you remove the planets (if thats what they are?) and give the whole picture more colour and not as much whiteout.

@Peter_

Sure. We just made it convert one of them, and in the main game you will be able to do both graphics. I will send you a small program to let you do the tail part tomorrow.

@__cLowN_pAiNt__

LOL Well at least your all set up for the game now.

Ah ok, looks like someone up in the clouds of the net doesn't like google mail, don't worry about trying again, I'll wait for the public beta version.

Thanks for trying to send it anyway.

Looks like a bit of healthy competition here. Should be interesting to see who turns the other to space dust.

@Avan Madisen

Yes it did bounce. It took some time though. However, I’m not done yet. What I will do is to break it up in to 1 meg zips and send it like that with a joiner program.

@Anime Blood

Thanks for that. Look forward to getting it.
