Ok, I know how to work out the direction to travel according to the angle that you are at (using sin etc) but if you rotate an object around the y axis and then need to rotate it along an imaginary axis that runs perpendicular to your line of sight, how do you work it out. As far as I can tell you need to use sin and cos again, but in a different way. I can't figure it out, does anyone else have an idea. Thanks!

p.s. I tried cos(a)^2 and it came pretty close to what I wanted but not exactely it seemed.
