Hi, im working on a game, and i would like to show it to everyone it. i'll have a download as soon as i figure out how to get one. But, until then, i have screenies and the plot. Squirells are doing something, and they are taking acorns like crazy. But, the acorns want a say. Nutt, the acorn you use, tries to convince his mom to let him fight against the squirells, but she wigs(ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?! NO WAY!!!!!!![/u] ) So, you try to wake up the village leader at like 2 in the morning, but he snores away. then you do all this stuff to wake him and stuff. ive only been working for a week, but i am pretty far, world one almost done. anyway, heres a screenie. more to come.

comments on the idea, please!

acorns=good
squirells=bad
you use Nutt, an acorn.

heres another screenie, your trying to find something that can wake up the elder.

(edit) sorry about the mouse in the middle of the screen... forgot to hide it... heh heh...

Lol. I like the idea, there's nothing wrong with something original and if I'm right in saying you started using DB around the time you joined the forums then you've made great progress. Good luck.

Thank you everyone for your comments! Anime Blood, id like the code.
im e-mailing you. because i did use some code that comes with DB, you dont sink when you try to wake up the elder, but on level 2 you do. i used this to my advantage, because level 2 is a swamp, but it will need to not sink on later levels. also, hopefully soon, anyone who wants can see my code for making Nutt have a light sabre.

its the best newbie project I've seen I can say that.
I knew you used the DB example code because of the first screenshot looked very similar, which i used that as a based too in my newbie days (But then again I am still a newbie lol)

screenie! screenie! screenie!
to get to this place, you need to lure away the acorn eater in the first mini-quest and take advantage of the fact that you sink into the ground.

even more to come!

Ok, I read the post again. I understand it a little more.

You are doing a wonderful job (and I don't think your a Sage Tech clone, that's a good thing).

Let us know if you need anything (besides a lightsabre).

P.S.
I have no clue what a "Squirell" is but I know what a "Squirrel" is.

My god put this guy in the next newsletter! He admitted that he used "Word" to spell check!

Why can't we have more newbies like this? This is the type of people we need (newbies) and not those "clone" people we have had a lot lately (not to mention names.... ST...)

im trying to figure out dbspot. but, when it does come out, there are a few problems...

#1 the voices sound dumb, because i only used the built-in recorder.

#2 i think the voices are so dumb, that counts as 2.

#3 no music, yet.

#4 the bad guy, though finished, does not do damage yet. but, there is a obvious warning when he sees you.

thats about it. but, you have 2 choices about the demo:

do you want to get a demo of the very, very beginning in about a day, or

do you want to wait about 3 days and get a demo with:
mini-quest 1 ; the quest to wake up the elder (long-ish)
mini-quest 2 ; the dumb elder wants to race you to the battle place (medium-ish)

if you choose to get the demo sooner, you will get the small one, wait a few days, then get the big one.

vote!

That depends; the gameboy may have absorbed all the coffee when it fell in, resulting in a reasonably tastey gameboy.

+ = something, however if you're hungry, it doesn't matter what.

Give up now, young one, you have no chance.

At life.

Your programming skills, however, are commendable.

Kudos.
