there is a plugin that can minimize the program to tray, that might help to keep the server running more time..

well my fire wall kept crashing the program after it poped up the little window "this program is trying to access server" so i think i got it working now. Hopefully.

But if the server he is useing is useing a ip with a port so he can get past the port 80 block (example:255.255.255.255:8888) then sometimes people far away or some isp will not connect to those ips with ports

Added alot of new options to the interactive object system. Now I can set a sort of "loot list" for each object and percentages for how often each item appears. The patch of shrooms for example can yeild the usual Orange Feral Shroom (98%) or rare Ruby Leteo Shroom (2%) The crates and barrels have several items for each but guess I'll let you guys find out on your own whats in there.

Also, to randomize things a bit, I set a base regen, and random regen. The patch of shrooms for example has a base of 5 minutes, and random of 10, so a new shroom will regen every 5-15 minutes.

Also added in a tradeskill check (some objects will need a minimum tradeskill level to interact with) and also the amount of XP gained in that specific tradeskill for each successful action.

Excuse me now, gonna go see if I can find me a rare shroom...

Since a couple people had been asking me about this, I added in some more camera controls. Along with zooming in and out, and rotating 360 around the character, now you can tilt the camera at a different angle, so the game is not completely overhead looking. Here's a shot of a new angle.

http://gastonia.galekus.com/screenshots/ss15.jpg

Also, server now saves your camera data and will load it back next time you log on.

Finished up the tradeskill system for all collecting skills (Gathering,Mining,Fishing,Forestry,Harvesting)

Been a bit busy lately but managed to add a few new things to the game. Added in a ghosting effect when walking under certain areas.

Also added in a merchant system.

I must say this is really starting to look very good now! Did you sort out the loadspeed lag when new players enter the game?

Nah you still tend to lag out a second or so when loading in new players. Seems straight loading the object is the only way to get everything to work without any bugs.

Was on vacation at the beach for awhile, just back now. Did stop by my friends house and starting to get the server setup. Should have a dedicated server up soon with 4MB download and 2MB upload speed. Starting to work on a detailed world terrain for the main world, my first time working with something like this so we'll so how it goes.

Ask if you want anything. =/

I made that latest house for testing purposes with AGE, and donating to Gastonia once it served it's purpose.

I never really played Diablo much but I don't think the games will be very similiar. It's an overhead game, thats about the biggest similarity. Even that, this game is true 3D with alot of camera controls that Diablo didn't have. I believe Diablo was really 2D but all the images were from 3D models to give it the 3D feel, but I'm not really sure. The gameplay for LOG should be totally different though.

Added in overhead battle hits and XP gained messages. Also, added in the map system. Still need to work a bit on this but here's a preview of what I've got done so far.

for the texturing, put them in the same folder as the model, it will load alone (if I remember well) and you can have the naimation number in the animations ranges text that goes with the zip.
