How can I change the default transparency color. I have a sprite that is largely black. How can I make it so that my sprite doesn't just vanish on me because black is read as transparent. Note: I am using DB-Classic v1.13 and not DBPro. Is there a way to set the transparency color to something other than black.

Unfortuantly, I don't believe it's possible.

Programming anything is an art, and you can't rush art.

True. In DBPro you can control the colour key, but not in classic. However here's on tip for you - classic determines anything coloured rgb(10,10,10) or less as being "black" (i.e. transparent). If you set the real black area of your sprite to say 11,11,11 then to the eye it'll still appear black but DB won't mask it out.

Cheers,

How can I change the pixel colors from less than rgb(10,10,10) to rgb(11,11,11) without having to edit each one in paint. Keep in mind I have a 400x400 pixel image. The image I am working with is the same as my user icon. As you can tell, there is a fair amount of black and this would take me a long time to do pixel by pixel. Any suggestions on a quick routine to alter the pixels.

if you don't want to have any part of your image transparent, you can just set transparency of by using the set sprite command

Depends what paint package you've got I guess, but Photoshop can do a global colour replace. Can't speak for anything else though, sorry.

Cheers,

Use the magic-wand in psp or photshop, you can select areas
and change the tributes of that area.

Hope this helps.
