ah, actually airsfot guns (or at least mine) don't fire BB pellets...they fire these little yellow plastic 6mm balls (not sure about that size) and they are not nearly as powerfull as the weakest BB gun (like "Red Ryder")

there is no way in earth my gun would fire through cardboard

There used to be A LOT of them where I grew up.. and they were a bloody nuisance. Just like frogs too actually; but me and my brothers found out that frogs are bloody resilliant creatures.

We tried shooting them. Throwing them over the extension, seriously Andy threw one once as far as he could. I saw it land on the Car, it just flipped back upright and hopped off.

I'm not exactly a fan of either. Cats used to bring them home all the time. I mean it's kinda the price you pay for living kinda just on the edge of civilisation heh
