Hello. I have passed two days working on this.
Now, at least, i have the solution. To make cool 3d models with 3dsmax and Character Studio, export to .X and use them on DBPRO PERFECTLY, you need:

- Directx 8.1b SDK Extras (the Dll export)
- 3dsmax 3.0
- Character Studio 2.2

And that's all. For any questions, reply to this post.

Problem is I cant get the DirectX SDK DLL to work with Max3.0 and CStudio2.2.
The Readme for CStudio tells that in case the dll dont work
to recompile the source with your version of Cstudio.
I dont know c++ so I cant do that.

Hi!. Well. Tell me your problem with the Directx Dll and i will try to help.

Next, exporting to a .X file isn't a hard job, although it isn't a very easy job too. If you want to export simple animation (limb animation, not vertex) it is very simple. Just select export and the .X file format.

If you want to use Character Studio (what i think you want), you have to be good with 3dstudio and character studio, or you can try to use the models that come already animated. If you want to start from zero, create an object, create a Biped (try to make it as equal as the model) and apply physique modifier to the object, then select pick main node with the biped.

I am sorry i have no time to make a very big tutorial about this, but i will try to answer your little questions. Good Luck EveryBody.

P.D: DirectX .X Exporter and DarkBasicPro are not the best friends of the world, heheh
