Hi there!
I just have a simple question...when I try to run a program made in DBPro I get the following error:

Runtime Error 1504 - Display cannot be created due to an unknown DirectX error at line 0

Ok, it sounds more like a DirectX error that a DBPro error, but games work just fine. This also happens while trying to update DBPro to 3.1. Maybe DBPro is not compatible with Win2k Server? I have an Athlon XP 1700+ with 256mb of RAM and Win2k Server. Also I have installed DirectX 8.1b.

Only use 16 or 32 bit graphics mode, and see what happens then.

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

and if it won't work then try to look at your db file, there is file named temp and there is .txt file open that and it tells what is wrong whit your code.
(example. c:\program files\DarkBASIC pro\temp\ )
try that

Hi again!
I guess I found something....games work because they use OpenGL instead of Direct3D. I ran DxDiag and when I tested the Direct3D part, it gave an error. Same happend when I switched from OpenGL to Direct3D in Serious Sam. It's either Win2k or my GeForce3....

Hi again!

I fixed it...kind of....I removed Win2k Server and installed XP again. Works fine now! Anyway, thanks for your help!
