Hi, I'm new to DBPro and I'd like to know the following:

1) According to the manual you can store and retireve only values to the windows registry. Is it possible to also read/write strings from/to it?
2) There is an option to load BSP worlds from pk3 or pak files. I don't know whether it is only limited for BSP or not. If so, could this functionality be extended for bitmaps, sprites, sounds, music, etc.?
3) Can you retrieve BSP worlds from password protected pk3/pak files? How?

Thx.

Hi, it's me again.

When i said "values" in question 1) I meant "integer" ones.

Come on, folks! I'm really new to DB world, and this is my first post in the forum ...

Hmm dosn't look like DBPro has any commands for writing or reading strings from the reg at the min, you can use the REG_DWORD (int) I have been using that for a while, but until I saw your post haden't tried string's in the reg.

Maybe you aught to post it to them as a suggestion, It should be easy to implement in there code (I would have thought anyway)

Sorry I couldn't be more help..

1) Not sure, will check later.
2) No.
3) Didn't know they could be password protected - or is it just like a password on a zip file? Anyway the answer is most likely no - not at this moment in time, sorry!

Cheers,

Rich
