Sometimes, I will create a game first in a point and click engine to get the game mapped out, then I will code it. That way, if I run out of idead 3/4 of the way through it, I won't have lost 3-4 months. But I do prefer coding on my own because of the flexibility.

As a proof of concept - in the same way C++ developers use DBP for prototypes, he is going to use Click and Drag for his prototype of a DB game.

We'll eventually be able to load FPSC levels into DBPro and run around them - so anyone who would struggle with making a level editor and levels for a FPS should seriously consider FPSC as a springboard for their FPS project. People might design the game in FPSC then code their own engine around it.

FPS games are tricky beasts, when you start making your own you appreciate all that's gone into FPSC and how it could make life easier in the future with it's level engine and DBPro.

Because coding is the way real games are made. Using a little program to do things for you just doesn't cut it, atleast for me.

If you're making a first person shooter and want to get quality results, you probably won't get anything like Battlefield 2, Doom 3, Farcry etc without coding things.

Plus I personally enjoy coding things

Anybody ever considered that we code our games because like teh almighty pwning Jeku we are looking to get a career in game development, or even those other boring types of programming? It pays rather well, and we need to practice and learn.
