How do I make like a hollow cube and texture the inside of it? I make a cube but when I put the camera inside its all gone. I want to make a spinning room outa this cube. Sorry for the silly question, hehe.

Are you using a 3D graphics package or just the DBPro commands ? If its the latter, I'm not sure you can get them to subtract or union shapes...

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

I'm just trying to take the easy route and make a big cube and put the camera inside, which won't work, but was wondering if there was an easy way to do it, like a skybox or something. I am well seasoned in native and c++ coding, but have never done 3d before, so I will have many silly questions like this one.

Just set the "cull" flag (see the set object command). You can now fly inside your textured cube.

Cheers,

That works great and I didn't even notice any kind of performance hit.

Ah, but rich, I tried my program on my not so high spec machines and even on my pIII 800, its not usable. This is my first dark-basic program and will post it as public source for the newcomers to learn from as it has many things happening at once and stays in time. May be able to help newbies understand threading. But anyway can someone shed another trick that won't kill my FPS?

Dude, try setting the size of the cube using negative numbers.

Ending a sentence with a French word is so passé

There didn't seem to be one on my working machine, but I like tried it on my others that are not so high spec after i posted that and well, like I said, It killed the idea. I don't think everyone here has ati9700,amd xp 2600+. I want to make something that shows how to work around in dbpro that everyone could learn from.
I have my fps set at 60 so did not notice a thing on my machine here but jumps from 60 to about 2 to 5 on my other comps when I cull that cube.

Set the cube size to a negative number. The room will be visible only from the inside however.
