What OS can my DBPro games be run on? I developed on an XP Pro machine, but Windows 2000 Pro wouldn't run my game. I compiled with the resources in the media section, and it has DirectX 8.1 and a GeForce card. I sent it to my girlfriend, who has Windows 98, and DirectX 8.1 It wouldn't work on hers either. It's not a complicated program, just basic 3d commands. Any suggestions why it didn't work?

I would say that 2000 pro is nt. But xp is nt built to be compatable with dos and also allow direct hardware access. Nt is not nor is 2000. As for 98, her direct x may not be set up correctly. Mine work on 98,ME, and XP just fine, I have all three set up on one comp for debugging. Not 95 though, maybe its because its too old and why does anyone still use it, its junk, hehe.

Yeah, I had couldn't get my 16-bit 3D card working with DBPro demos even when the first line of the program was to use 640x480x16 screen res. I think it might try to run in 32bit mode by default when it starts and then try shifting down to a less stressful one once it's running.

Ending a sentence with a French word is so passé

It is in 16-bit mode and the drivers are up to date, and if I can play Unreal Tournament 2003 on it, then I suppose they're working great.
