i just discovered the function
enable/disable object zdepth (object)

this sorta fixes some of my problems with ghosted objects...

If i have a ghosted HUD, and disable object zdepth,
the HUD works fine...
if i have a non-ghosted object, non-locked object and i
enable object zdepth, that object is fine...
but to get a ghosted real object to display correctly in the world, i must disable object zdepth...
kinda backwards aint it? Why would trying to display a ghosted object against a background require the zbuffer to be disabled?
