I don't think that Raven puts on a show for the "Cameras" I think she does it for herself. Sort of love the attention she gets from other guys. Although I can't imagine why she wants negitive attention from guys, very stange. Well, she will obviously keep up her attack until one of you marry her! So come on, propose to your bride to be.

Merranvo,
I'm not going to start a flame war. This thread is slowly descending into that abyss however. We can have a discussion about DBPro function access capabilities at another time. I don't fully understand them myself yet but when I do I'll post the code for it. If and when that occurs we can have a new discussion then. Until then a mod should lock this and without hangling over arguing point details for the most part Raven was right. I made my original statment before I understood what I had done.

P.S. As stated above a mod can lock this thread.

Merranvo, you keep refering to me as a 'she' then I hope you enjoyed the brief time you actually enjoyed the use of your legs, and eating solid food.

As for DLL parameters:
(Most) Windows API functions use the stdcall convention. That means when you call a function, all parameters are put on the stack (right to left), and before the function returns, it removes the values from the stack (actually it only changes the stack pointer, but the result is the same). So what happens if a function requires 11 parameters, while you pass less than that? The function will take all the parameters it needs from the stack. One problem that could occur when the function returns is that it leaves an incorrect stack (pointer). It's possible that the 10th parameter of "Call Dll" frames the stack, so that DBpro can correct it. I don't know when this 10th parameter was introduced, as I know earlier versions would cause an error when you passed more than 9 values.

As for the messages:
In order to process all messages a window receives, you need to subclass it, ie. send a pointer to a callback function named WindowProc.

@Raven
I understand Merranvo started a flamewar, but did you have to continue it? That just makes you no better Merranvo.

@Mods
Please lock this thread before it gets worse.

Don't care, I want to point out that I AM A MALE. Given a number of times now people seem to be under some dumbass impression I'm not, wanted to make a point.

And seriously I ever come face to face with Merranvo after some recent comments he best hope he can run faster than me.

On topic, I heard that someone found that passing a user-defined type with the correct parameters to a dll works. Has anyone tried this?

Many do understand your gender, Raven, but do to the nature of forums many will not unless you decide to put it in your screenname/location/sig/every post.

Please let this continue in a positive manner, or it will surely be (rightfully) locked.

@Raven
So you stoop to his level. That says a lot about you.

P.S. It could be the "pink dancing cat". That is why people tend to get that impression IMHO.

@Xol
I'd tried and couldn't get it to work for passing more than one paramter at a time. Best I can tell it acts as an multipletyped array with each array variable set to a specified type.

@Mods
I would still lock this if the flames continue.

@All
Has anyone managed to ever send more than one paramter at a time from a pointer/typed variable/array etc...?

His level? Well, how about we side-step the fact that I'd need a sudden dip in my IQ, then run everything I say through Babelfish into another language then back into English to hit his level of communication... think about who your talking to before you actually bother answering.

What's more is the fact that his comments weren't actually that flamitory, not towards me atleast. I don't get a sense that he was trying to drag me out into a fight or a mud-slinging with his comments. I just wanted to make sure in the easiest possible language he would understand that I'm not a girl.

In-fact if anyone one is stirring the crap around here it's you.
You think that maybe this topic hasn't been locked yet for the simple fact that aside from some stern comments there isn't any actual flaming going on.

It's all in your head, sweet jesus if anyone knows what flaming is around here it's going to be me.

So my avater means I'm a girl? Why, what's wrong with a guy having something pink, that's dancing, and is cat related? If ya'll are still thinking like then I feel sorry for you. The only girls that survive in this forum are the ones that make sure not to let the users know they are girls.

Raven, the avatar thing is just how the mind works unconsiously. People attribute avatars to who they're talking to, which is of course completely incorrect, but it nevertheless happens.

Keaz's point is that this discussion, although not yet a flame, is going downhill.

On topic, exploring the Windows API can help bring someone into better knowledge of C++. It won't teach one nearly everything, but understanding another language can help make better programs in any language.

1.Not a flame? Ok more of a threat, but unnecessary to say the least.

Quote: "And seriously I ever come face to face with Merranvo after some recent comments he best hope he can run faster than me."
2.Another threat?

Quote: "Well, how about we side-step the fact that I'd need a sudden dip in my IQ, then run everything I say through Babelfish into another language then back into English to hit his level of communication.."
3.A difinitive flame.

Quote: " I just wanted to make sure in the easiest possible language he would understand that I'm not a girl."
4.It continued #3

Quote: "So my avater means I'm a girl?"
5.Never said that. I said it gives people that impression.

Quote: "The only girls that survive in this forum are the ones that make sure not to let the users know they are girls."
6.Not many of them on the forum I know of. So you might be right, but I'd rather let them comment on that.
