Does anybody remember the game that came out in the mid 80s that looked like it was based on rollerball? Is somebody still doing Paradroid? Yar's Revenge anybody?

Yeah I had a Rollerball game on the c64. It was a 2d side scrolling game where you could knock over other players by hitting them fast or throwing the ball at them. It was a good 2 player game.

Rollerball? The only 8-bit game similar to that I remember was "Skateball" by UBISoft. Or perhaps Speedball by the Bitmap Brothers? But I think you mean the first one.

Rollerball was an interesting film, it'd be good to make a game based on that, especially in 3d. Use polar coordinates to move around on motorbikes or blades, beat people up...

It was an arcade game. I never saw it on a console.

There's just 2 people and you're skating around a roller derby style rink and you can punch. Very simple get the ball in the goal. It's totally top-down. It was at this grocery store and I've never seen it since.

720 was one of Atari's best, very funky music, great punk graphics and skateboarding action.

As for this rollerball arcade only game, no idea! I know my computer games, but arcade games are very regional.

Cheers,

Rich

No, I remember Rollerball. I played it quite recently on Jamagic(www.clickteam.com).

But that game is quite old, and this is just a 3d remake.
