Hey, I just tried using a bmp file for texturing and, it worked!!

I don't know if it works in the EA , but try it.

Formerly I was CDBGames, and formerly to that i was Duke Nukem, and even more formerly to that
I was Punk Rock 101. Got it?

Yeah! But BMP takes a lot of space. One texture can be even bigger than 1 MB.
But if You are going to make a short game then its perfect!

You can use any format that DB Pro uses. So you can also use PNGs and JPGs.

It also means you can use .dbo and .x models, and quite possibly .3ds.

PNG's are generaly what I would use. They have lossless compression transparency layer and also they are easier to make than dds and such due to the format being opensource and so found in a wider number of areas (In my experience).
