Hi, I was just wondering if someone could resize this model for me? I found it on www.turbosquid.com and I really want it in my game. I managed to convert it and import it into fps creator but its really small, its about the size of the mug entity. I need it about the width of the freight container entity, perhaps a bit wider, as long as the door on the model looks about to scale with the people in the game.
The zip file i have attached contains the .x file and 3 alternate textures for the model in both .tga and .dds formats.
I would be eternaly gratefull to anybody who could do this for me.

Also, if the model is made bigger, will the textures need to be made bigger to?

Thanks

Please! If anybody has a few minutes of spare time (I'm assuming it only takes a few minutes, for all I know it could take hours.) to do this for me i would be extremely gratefull. I would do it myself but I dont have a clue how and even if I did I dont have a modeling programme.

I may be able to do something in return for whoever does it for me, though i'm not sure what as I can't model or script. You will have to ask and I will tell you if I can do it.

If you upload the file in .max or .3ds format and tell me how many squares you want it to cover and I'll resize it for you.

Thanks! When you say squares do you mean like grid squares in FPSC? If so then about 2 and a half to 3 wide and then the rest roughly to scale with that. Would it be possible to make it so that the door on the model was roughly to scale with the people? This might mean it has to be bigger than 2.5 to 3 squares wide though.
Thank you so much for this!

Same problem... I think that, like you said, it's the converter.
What's the original extention of the file?

The original extension was .lwo but it converted to .x fine. Do you want the .lwo?

Damn, I can't import .lwo files into 3ds max..! What program does???

Or... you could copy/rename an existing .fpe file from an existing model (as close as possible looking like your radiotower) as radiotower.fpe and go change the dimension values in it for your tower... if it's possible... see what I mean?

I could try, where in the fpe are the dimension values?

I dunno... when it comes to scripting, I'm dead...
I'd say try to fill in/change some values in the .fpe file and I'm sure you will see the results pretty quickly...

In the fpe? Where? i have tried altering:

offx = 0
offy = 0
offz = 0

and

rotx = 0
roty = 0
rotz = 0

and they dont work.

Eh? Oh, okay. Below the offz = 0, place a line that says, "scale =" and then play with the scale percentage.

What ever it was, I DID NOT do it!

Strange, the fpe i was using for my entity didnt have the scale thing in, most of the fpe's dont. Only the the weapon fpe's do.

I have made it bigger but the only problem is that its completely invisible in the editor except when the cursor is over it and when the cursors over it its just greenish grey and its the same in game, just freenish grey. The path to the texture is correct.

Perhaps your model is too big.....?
I had that once, but as I was messing around, I don't really know what happened or what I did so I just re-exported from scratch, deleted everything related to my entity, recopied/pasted/adapted the .fpe and tga files and so on....

Just a though...

Could the file you downloaded from the net be corrupted somehow...?

If the model has been made too big would increasing the size of the texture help?
It might be corrupt, i'm not sure....
