Hi, the muzzle flash made by various weapons within FPSC are not that realistic looking. How can we change this?

Hi,
You can create a new muzzleflash texture (256x256) in a paint program. Use an alpha channel for transparency (a search on these forums would reveal more on this) Now save it as a DDS file (exporters available from www.nvidia.com)
Replace one of the files within FPS Creator/Files/gamecore/muzzleflash/ with your new image.

To adjust the flash type for each weapon change the "muzzleflash" value in "gunspec.txt" to a number that corresponds with the texture you want, look in FPS Creator/Files/gamecore/guns/

Hello Simon, thanks for that info, i'll have a go at creating one sometime this week and upload the resulting screenshot and files.

I replied to your other post:

Unfortunately I had no joy extracting just the gunfire
