While i think this product is a great idea, and really enjoy its concept and the thing i was able to make with it while playing around with the demo, i do have many concerns.

I find many bugs and they are bad enough to prevent me from buying this product, which is something i want to do when the demo i try works fine.

Here is a list of some of the problems i discovered:
- in the IDE, sometimes text starts to vanish! I start typing and i do not see any letters, I press enter and they appear as if nothing happened.

- When i try to create a function above another function, it wont register. When i move it down it seems to, but not always. It takes some effort to get that to work right.

- When i press F5 to start the app, it start initializing then fails without any errors like nothing happened. I press f5 again and it starts up just fine.

- Things like LEFTKEY() give a syntex error, using the SAME code that worked the day before, and that seems right when i look at it. Very annoying.

Etc etc etc.

Is any of this know? will it be fixed? Once i see this product evolve a little more, id be glad to purchase it.

Keep it up Darkbasic pro team, you have a great potential product on your hands.

Hi,

ALL of those things are IDE issues (no issues with the compiler itself) and have all been addressed with the free IDE updates available (although I cannot state if they work with the trial version - you can test it out though - grab them from http://www.realgametools.com download link)

Cheers,

Rich

As for DBP itself, it is very buggy. However the demo is far worse than the real thing. As the demo hasn't been updated.

NOBODY has a forum name as stupid as Darth Shader. I do.

Why wouldnt they update the demo version? It makes no sense.

Anyone in marketing will tell you, you keep your demos up-to-date! The demo for me and im sure most others is a CRUCIAL part of the discussion related to product purchase.

Any idea if the demo will be updated when the next patch comes out?

I have Mature Problems with BSP-Suport and *.MDL or *.X Animatons.
Not a single code that i did with db-clasic works with the demo!!!
Just hoping that the full version will handle all this! If not it dont worth the 99$.

Um, unless there is a patch for the IDE that I'm unaware of (which is entirely possible), the function errors have not been fixed, but it's not a major problem, because openning all the functions will fix it.

The demo is TERRIBLE imho, and should either be updated or taken down. It is full of bugs and not a true indication of DBP.

BackBone: I think you mean "Major" instead of "Mature" lol
Neither MDL or BSP support was in DBClassic, and many of .X features were unsupported in DBC. If you are having problems with that in DBP, show us some code so we can see whats wrong.

I am shocked that this is not address by the development team. Is there anyone of importance monitoring this forum? My money will not be spent on a product, which i feel is not supported in the Forums.
