Is there a way to setup the metric system in dbPro to meters, miles, kilometers, or anything else? or is there some sort of calculation we have to do to convert dpPro type of unit to any other we might need?

Actually, a unit doesn't have any defined real world length, you just define a unit to be a good size that suits you game.

For example:
I'm 180 cm tall.

If I decided that in my game, one unit is equal to 1 cm, then I would make my model 180 units tall. If I decided that one unit would be equal to 1 meter, then I would make my model 1.8 units tall.

What size you give your units really depends on the game you are making. Just remember to be consistent

yeah but it this is more in aid of the exporting and creation values from within programs like Max, Maya, Milkshape etc...
they always tend to be set to real world values - and believe it or not the best scale in DarkBasic Std/Ehd/Pro is a 1dbu = 1cm because the cameras portray this setup best without leaning in/out of perspective greatly

but when you're setting up you models to begin with as even when they're scaled thier collision boxes stay the same size then you can see why it'd be a wanted value (^_^)
