Hi all,

Issue 2 of the newsletter was released today and includes a rather retro feel with an interview with Lee and his gaming past (quite interesting!) as well as DB info and updates such as the awesome Magic Windows and 3DMapEditor. Check it out over at http://www.darkbasic.com/newsletter/

Cheers,

Rich

Hey Everyone,
I have a question about The Darkbasic Newsletter. On the cover there is a picture of a dude firing a gun. What program is that come from? Has John Carmack finally bought a copy of DBPro

It's from our 3D artist Simon and is concept work for our FPS engine.

Cheers,

Rich

Is the fps engine going to be usable for anyone thing, or just a demo?

Yea, about this ZipTools thing. Personally I think it's kinda stupid that you can only get if your subscribed to DBDN or if you bough DarkBasic through RGT. What about everyone else? Doncha think that you'd make a lot more cash if you offered an alternate method of buying this software? I know I'd buy it! But I don't wanna pay $80 to sign up for something I'll never use and I already own DarkBasic. Garghhh, drives me crazy.

FPS Creator is a seperate project. As for ZipTools that's entirely up to Guys - he wrote it, he can release it in whatever way he wants, it's got bugger all to do with us. He's the author, respect his decision wether you understand it or not.

Cheers,

Rich

Yes, I understand, thank you. I suppose my main obligation toward that comment was simply that it's a valuable piece of equipment that I can't under any circumstances obtain

I tried E-Mailing him, but he never got back to me.

Yes you can, buy DBPro from him! - It might seem unfair but it is his buisness after all. Though it would be nice if we could buy RGTZipTools seperately.

Current Project: Retro Compo. Entry.
