I think Van-B and UW are right; LLRGT really is a dying community, and moving it to a new server really would kill it, or maybe not kill it immediately, but just delay the inevitable.

I think what we should do is move over to CodersWorkshop. Yes, the site that used to be BlitzCoder. But RGT used to be a DB-only place, and now both sites are multi-lingual; they really are just two sides of the same coin. So really, if all the LLRGT members were to move to CW, all it'd do would balance out the DB to Blitz user ratio. It'd be one forum with an equal number of each language instead of two multilingual but imbalanced forums.

Of course, that'd probably mean all the mods / admins losing their status. Which may or may not be desirable Though I'm sure some of the mods from LLRGT are a little tired of being mods with nothing to do.

In either case, Raven wouldn't condescend to posting on CW anyway, so it's a win-win situation.

CodersWorkshop you say... i might have to migrate.

It'd be sad to see it die, it's like having to shoot your pet dog or something.

I can post where I choose. I left you users along on RGT out of a respect for bounderies.

You don't like me posting where you hang out, I would expect the same respect of bounderies. So I guess this really shows more what kind of people you really are.

He was and is. Raven just likes calling us hipocrites because he's still sore about being banned. Oh, he'll tell you that he's better off without us, and that we're worse off without him, but it's just repressed rage. Of course, he's just one user, and if he thinks an entire forum of users shouldn't post on Apollo because he's shunned by them, he should think again.

We're soooooo sorry for stepping on your territory, Raven. I didn't realize that this was your forum.

Grow the f**k up.

I think that LLRGT could survive another move. That is just my opinion.

Just a heads up. All members whom had an e-mail listed on the forums will be getting an e-mail relatively soon. Depends on how fast we can get everything else we are doing done. If you didn't have an e-mail listed I'll be posting the content of the e-mail here.

Also lagmaster if you read this please check your mail

I'd suggest you have a chat with WOLF, I've not been banned for almost 3years now.

What?

No, seriously, I don't know what you mean. You are banned from LLRGT. And what would Wolf know about it?

Raven started to post under the name GIR at LLRGT (Hmmm... that was a lot less than 3 years ago).
I sniffed him out within his first couple of posts. The funny thing is that I asked the mods at the time to give him a chance. If he behaved appropriately, then give him a chance. The first time that he stepped out of line, then ban him. Raven (or GIR ) acted very respectfully and never inappropriately while there. That is probably why he got bored and left.

And he's been okay here too... Although there do seem to be a few new mischief makers around now...

If you guys need a dedicated host that rarely goes down contact me (email with details), and I'd setup a subdomain for use.

The provider has tons of capability, and I have around 2 or 3 mySQL databases availablities left, so I'd gladly sacrifice 1.

There was no way to download the 'unreleased' IDE Update, and no sodding person came over to these forums to even let anyone know it had been released.

Besides that wasn't too long after Simple came here causing me one hell of a lot of trouble. I barely use the account much, but I have to in order to view topics. There's some stupid bug with LLRGT that means unless your signed in you get an error message.

I've not posted there in what, atleast 2years. Doesn't mean I haven't been reading it. And I have the full ability to post.

I post in both places about the same amount. This is the official message board for a product that I love using. Now I could understand any beef that you would have with people that do not use or support TGC products, but a lot of RGT users do.

The thing with only being able to view topics when you are logged in is relatively new.
Anyway, I have no real "problem" with you. In fact, I think that lately you have been making a real effort to help people. That's great and you can have a pat-on-the-back from me. I also haven't seen any of the stuff lately that causes people to have such a problem with you. Again, kudos to you for that. I do think, however, that your "problem" with this thread is due to past "problems", not an eye-sore of a common topic. You don't have mod status here. You don't have to read all of the threads. So why bother if it causes you such grief?

Because it's never contained to a single topic is it.
I mean if they were just using this forum as a beacon until they moved on, then fair enough; but then people spread out across this forum.

Alright I might have a larger issue with this than most, but surely this can be understood when users from LLRGT start posting in other areas of the forum crap against the users here and this forum (often yes again this is usually directed at me)

Then if that wasn't bad enough, it's like when old friends get together, it seems to encourage worse behaviour out of those here who honestly don't need the encouragement.

While I know they'll all say this is all in my head, but I know damn well that this forum was a pleasent place to be prior to LLRGT people being here. Each time they decend upon this forum they spread this attitude around, which alright for older users isn't a problem as we can sit back and think "well you know they'll be gone soon", but then newbies see this behaviour and believe "ya know what this is the normal"

I have people who sit around making comments to things I've done years before they even joined the forums.

For christ sake, there's an are of a forum of a company that's *suppose* to be acting professional that's dedicated to things I've done or said. Not to be funny but I'm not sure how people can see behaviour like this even remotely acceptable.

My dislike for RGT members doesn't come from the fact I was banned from the forum... it comes from the attitude of those who seem to believe thier behaviour is acceptable. As far as my attitude towards them goes it doesn't come from any long dislike of them, it comes from the fact they come here acting like it's still 3years ago after I was banned from RGT; acting all like I'm the anti-mod or something... someone who who be put down and ridiculed at every damn turn.

Personally I feel these attitudes are NOT welcome here.

Raven - When you put it that way, I almost want to feel sympathy for you. However, you have to think about your reputation. You say you have people talking about things that you did before they knew you - that is called "your reputation preceeding you," and you should have thought about the consequences of your actions when you behaved the way you did on the old Grey forums and on RGT. If you honestly are turning over a new leaf, good for you - but it will take more than a simple apology to win the respect of many LLRGT members after all the crap you gave us, and in a way, for the way you've behaved on this forum as well.

For example, one of your major character flaws is your inability to concede an argument that you know you've lost, especially when it's an exaggerated story that you made up. You'll argue that you have a 300MHz GBA with your life, when everyone knows it's just another "Ravenism." I mean, when you've inspired an entire set of negative forum jargon, you know you must have messed up somewhere.

You don't like the LLRGT members because they are your past come back to haunt you. We are the last bastion of the old forums, the old days when you were far more of a prick than you are now, and you don't want to remember that.

I'm willing to let all this bullsh*t go if you are. If you truly are trying to become a better forum member and are willing to try to fix your own flaws instead of blaming everything on LLRGT, that's great and I hope our relationship with you improves in time. But if you mess up again - know that you will forever be the laughing stock of our forum.

Have I been newbie slapped for some reason? I just got a message saying that my post has to be reviewed before posting.

If this post is also reviewed by a mod, please let me know the reason why this has happened, as I haven't gotten any kind of notice.
