I was impressed with just the screenshots...the comp I'm isnt fast enough to view videos(yes it will run them, but not of any quality, and will be too horrible to bother). I could fix some of the speed and quality issues but I'd have to get permission first which always takes at least 3 weeks to do. It really sucks not being able to afford your own computer...oh well. But really man, it's looking great!

I have to say I love industrial music... unfortunatly I hate industrial lyrics most of the time T_T

I went to mainspawns site (nice) and he makes some freaking awesome music. Not a fan of the lyrical work though - its good industrial im sure but for me I want just the music T_T Gimme your instrumentals! XD

^^That signiature is mean and unnecessary, and that's all I will put into the topic.(as in I don't wish to talk about it, as everyone will always have varying opinions...I've stated mine before)

Looking good, i'd have to even say i'm a bit impressed I guess.

From what i've seen your game does look exceptional. If it's as enjoyable as in-swap was, i'd be happy.

Back home... I hope I'll be able to spend a few days on this game this week, maybe to release a first beta demo (?). But I have to focus on another project...

Sephnroth > and he makes some freaking awesome music (...) its good industrial im sure but for me I want just the music T_T Gimme your instrumentals!

Yeah! I know indus lyrics aren't friendly with every ears... That's why only instrumentals version will be used in the game (If I ever use those musics, I'm not sure at this point, I have to listen to demo musics people sent to me).

Sephiro > Thank's!! I hope anyway it'll be more enjoyable than InSwap

Yeah as you see, I'm completely away this month I have too much work to click on my beloved DBP's icon...
But I'll soon be back with a huge amount of free time for DBP.

I have still to remix my songs without the lyrics for this game ; & I promise I'll give you a link to those instrumental tracks!

Isn't it just it is soo fun but I can't wait to get dbp because you don't get enough flexibility with classic.
Keep up the good work.

I have DBC and care to differ, as i've said many a time before a bad carpenter blames his tools. You can still produce top notch games wtih DBC.

Onward to my question to The Cage Complex, have you got a rough estimate for the release date of this project?

Sephiro > I don't know when it will be ready. But it's now sure I'm in late!! January/February 2006? It all depends on how much free time I can find in my life...

Cash Curtis II > Thank's!! I've just seen your "new" wip. Your project seems very interesting too !!! while mine is very simple as you can figure ; almost design work.

---- So back for day 20.

A little water added...

And I'm so bored with my lame jetfighter... I've started a flying "mechwarrior" style. It could be fun!

I feel like crashing a car into a wall to go into a comma, so that when I wake up the game will be finished. I can't wait.

Admiral > no shader! I want this game to be a small specs cpu game (cause besigned to the shareware budget market). But I'll try to enhance the water.

Skalex, Insanity > I'll release a demo as soon as the 1th level will be finished, and that means all code implementations. It should take a couple of weeks... At this time, I don't know how far I want to go with this project...

The player has become a mech huh? true to space harrier XD

I like the mech.. but i like the plane too! suggestion if I may: make some missions use the aircraft and some use the mech? You can leave it as simple as that or, if you are feeling a bit more adventerous, do that but make them behave slightly differently. Example, the mech shouldnt be as nimble to turn as the aircraft but can walk along the floor happily if you go low enough and can trample over the smaller geometry (bushes, etc) with no problems - the aircraft should be fast, nippy, nimble, etc, but collisions with anything cause damage. Just an idea - i just dont want to see the aircraft disapear forever cuz i kinda like it

p.s.

i want my instrumentals! ;-;

I think the player should be able choose between a mech and a fighter, as that would add a considerable amount of replay value.

anyone remember that game where you were a mech and you could transform into a ship, that game was fun :p. if only i could remember what it was...

and screenies look great, i think the trees could do with more variation than just scale and maybe add more statics to weave around, buildings for eg.

and who replaced the moon with an egg?

@The Cage Complex-

Your games have a certain visual appeal. Slick and professional. Any time I see something you're working on I feel like I'm carving my games out of a huge chunk of dry cheese.

My wife actually liked In Swap, and she's not easily impressed. It all moved too much, though, and she couldn't play it for long. But, I still have it on my computer.

Keep up the good work!

Mech doesn't seem to enjoy everybody... Ok... I'll try to improve it and/or let the player choose between jet/mech ... and maybe a 3rd vehicle?

dark coder > "i think the trees could do with more variation..." : of course this is very early screens. I still have a lot of things to do!

Cash Curtis II & others > Simply thank's

---- day 22 ----
