Has anyone ever gone back and looked at some of the very first threads they started?

Like when you were a newbies?

It's rather... humbling...

Do they still have the posts from the old forum? Think my first real post (hovered around for a while) was asking for help with ball games. Dr Av (legendary at the time) helped me out on that one.

Dunno when it was though. Probably either july 2000 or 2001. Hey Indi, I remember you joined within one month (either way) of me. Can you remember when it was? Heh, I remember looking once at people's stats (you could see post counts in those days), and noticing that Indi had something like 5 times my count with just about the same time since joining (and I had something like 2.5 - 3k of posts at the time).

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

My first was on the XMB madmerlin forums - asking about "wrapping a matrix around a sphere".

First on RGT was saying "Welcome!" - in the wrong board.

First here was about mercenaries 1.

I just realise that I'm here since a longer time than some mods.
I also realised that my signature is too big according to the rules, but I had it before the rules were set up and it was a gift from a member. So I suppose that's the reason why nobody said anything. And i reallay like it.

I think nobody flamed me because I was working for EA around that time.

And back then there really wasn't a search function! I remember there was a separate website you had to visit to search these forums. Kinda weird when I think about it now.

Im sure some people have their own company. I had a legally registered one myself(not for db though) for a bit, but as it never took off, I quickly trashed it.

My first post was about The Old Remedy 3D Skateboarding.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=24916&b=8

I've been around longer than this though - I was Drew the Slig on the old DB forums around the time the DBArchive CD came out.

Nobody's first post is fully huggable..
Actually there are weird differences between first post and newer ones

We adapt to places..
But it is not valid for many people: some of those who hate mods, for example
