Dude. You're talkin to the right guy I'm putting together something I call "grave Matter" It's got about
11 nice gravestones (textures taken from actual gravestones from a cemetery by my house),
3 new zombie characters with glowing red eyes,
bats,
cemetery gates and fences,
grassy mounds,
open graves,
open graves that you can fall into other levels from
simitransparent ground fog
a stone sarcophigus (sp?)
a wooden coffin you can stack and climb on
a bare gnarly tree
a stone column
a halloween pumpkin!

Just give me a couple of more days to get it all packed and up on my site. I'm thinking of charging about 10 bucks for it.

Here's another pic... The grassy mounds are fully segmentized so you can make little hills however you want.

I'd really like some advice on how to sell the pack. I'm tempted to go with Turbo Squid just cause it's easy.

Anyhow the pack comes with scripts and I'm thinking of adding music too. I have lots of eerie stuff I've made for games.

Oh and to clarify about the zombies, they are just textures for the ww2 thug model with a simple come after you and damage you script and light effect for the eyes. So it's mainly just the textures I'd be offering.

The bats are my own from scratch creation, though, with flying animation. All the models with the exception of the zombies use my own meshes and textures.

Oh plus theres a pointy grass clump too, though for more grass, I strongly recommend getting the forest pack.

Flashing Snall:
I can model and give away a model of tombstone, the tomb itself( basically a square hole in the ground), a marble tomb cap and a dirt tomb cap.
But I see you need some training and am short of time, so my condition is that I give the X models, textured and scaled to the proper size and you generate the fpe, posting it as soon as you can for everyone to use it way before halloween. Deal?

Ok, Flashing Snall and everyone:

I placed the tombstone in a pack, on the new website we are building, which is still in construction but is a good place for download it.
Please test it and post back the result. And I saved you the work. All the fpe files and needed items are there.
There are :

- Tombstone. You can change the texture by modifying the jpg file, and could copy and scale the same entity for different versions.

- Marble Tombhole. Well I call it tombhole but really do not know how to say this in english. Is the hole where you place the dead body, but in marble. If your player falls there, it can't get out unless you place some stairs.

- A marble tomb cap. Same as above, and is a big marble piece for covering the hole.

- A dirt tomb cap. This one has some imperfections on the texture, but gets hardly noticed.

I tested all items on FPSC. Physics enabled and all. Just add a corpse.

What I noticed is that when building the game you actually have to reference the textures to the texturebank directory. On test mode no problem.

The site is http://developers.nobandidos.com
Well, enjoy.

You may only use the pack if you make games for your mom. Just YOUR mom. No one elses mom. And by that I mean just KraM's mom. It's all in the readme file. Just kidding.

I won't have any limitations at all, except you can't sell my models/textures or distribute them in your own model pack or by themselves. For example if the Bat turns up in somebody elses "free models" or model pack, or something that would be a violation of the software distribution agreement.

They have to be distributed as part of a game, which you can then charge money for or give away or whatever. I would appreciate it if you would use something like FPSCPac when you distribute the games, though. Why am I wasting time writing this when I should be finishing up my pack! Aargh!

No credit needed. You can use them in comercial (or whatever) as long as you don't distribute the elements by themselves. They just have to be part of a game.

Sinistar, just a normal license agreement. They are always there hidden. Probably am too acostumed to legal stuff and formalities.

You feel is to hard? Feel free to comment, and so we could invent license terms for this lines of products. Usually my business software is accompanied by this documents. If not, the purchaser can claim legally that he has purchased the whole product and has even right to ask you for source code! Always set terms. That is the law.

My professional advise would be for any software/middleware developer, to put its conditions on print (or software document) in order to protect their investment.

I had experiences before, and with that experiences was decided years ago to put clear terms.
When you dig into copyright and intellectual property laws, you can see that there should be always clear rules for the buyers of your products, what is they are purchasing and what they are not.

In the case of free products, some are clearly not for others profit making. If the user has intentions to profit, it is rightful to make a deal.
In the case of paid products, there should always be rules, but in this case the person did already purchased some rights to use and paid an amount. Anyway, what did he purchased? You have to tell what your product is.
