Another example of a nonprofit economic organization is the co-op... A co-op is a valentary asscoiation of people formed to carry on some kind of economic activity that will benifit it's members.

A consumer co-op is a voluntary association that buys bulk amounts of goods, such as food and clothing, on behalf of its members. Its aim is to provide its members products at prices lower then those charded by regular businesses.
Strait from the textbook. Non-Profit is a status, it doesn't mean that you don't have a profit. If Non-Profit orgs were non-profit then Red Cross would be operating out of a card board box. (The fancy new office is profit)
