Hi

I started work on these on Sunday and just wanted to release the first batch to see how you like them. (Or how you DON'T like them). It's a simple low-poly Fantasy pack. Polycount is an average of 200-1000 depending on model. They come in .x and .dbo formats. For full features, visit the official model pack page here:

http://www.seikensteel.com/megaton/index.htm

And the actual Pack Download here: (8.9mb)

http://www.seikensteel.com/megaton/Fantasy%20Pack1.rar

There are 10 models (7 Buildings, 3 Bridges) in all! I have alot more to make, and starting next is the Castle Pack. In this thread, I'd appriciate if people would post saying what they want to see made along with possible concept shots stolen of Google (Whatever works for you). Hope it comes of us to anyone, because I know how hard it can be to find media for programmers. 3 out of full 10 screenshots below, visit the model pack page for all screens!

Thanks and Enjoy

Very nice models !

Video games…they take you places unreachable, unfeasible. Putting you in the book...putting you in the movie...putting you in a world, that before could only be imagined. expage.com/piratesmainpage.

These look very good, Megaton

Can I ask - would I be allowed to use these in the Open MMORPG Project, which is under the GPL, or would you prefer we don't use your models?

It's only right I ask for permission.

No matter what you say - they look excellent models, and it's very good of you to offer them to the DB community for free

Very good models. You should include in the pack all the terms and conditions for their proper use.

Hey

Thanks for all the comments!

To those who asked if they can use them, well, the site says FREE for a reason! All I ask is that you link me back on your site.

Working on next pack as I write this, suggestions for new models always welcome.

Thanks

Wow! Those are amazing models, and if I ever make a game that would work with them, I'll definitely use them.

I'd love to see an ancient ruins pack, and maybe even a horror one.

Thanks Bizar Guy. Yup, I have plans for a ruins pack too. Thanks for the suggestion!

Anyway, here's a WIP of the upcoming Gothic pack.

I don't quite understand what you meant...?

They are free for anything, but not for stealing and claiming to be the modeller.

Anyway, last shot for the day as I'm leaving for my train now. Hopefully, this pack will be done by Sunday or earlier.

That is what free means. You can use them, no strings attached. All you have to do is give him credit for making them.

but anyways, despite your poor timing, great models, love the textures

Hey Cat,
Really nice models. They are by far the most amazing I've seen.

How long have you been modelling, what do you use to model, and what do you use to texture?

While it might not be of instant use to me, I'm sure people might like to have some 'graveyard' items.

And you wanted google-goodies -
Graveyard Stuff (Mausoleums and Crypts etc)

Excellent page in general, despite the fact they've discontinued a lot of their stuff - it's been good inspiration to me in the past.

Thanks Lukas.

Not much free time today, could only finish one model. That's up to 3 now, the majority of these seem to be castles/gates and the occasional buildings so in the end, I'll construct a whole city with these. Should be fun.

Anyway, you can obviously tell this isn't traditional Gothic Architecture as I threw my own style in there. Still alot of attention to detail though.

Hi Everyone

Very busy with week. Problems with school-related work. My future isn't looking too good.

Quote: "or better yet want to do some sci fi future buildings next that we can use for syndicate remastered?"

Yup I am planning to do lots of sci-fi stuff in the future.

Well, I am a Level Designer by trade, so I generally do 3D stuff like this. No characters/Real 3D models etc Sorry.
