Hi,

Does anyone know of a .X file import plugin for 3DSMax???
( that preserves animation etc )
Like for tweaking/modifying existing .x models rather than starting from scratch.

Or maybe recommend a file converter that will work for this & doesn't cost the earth?? I've tried converting using various apps such as Milkshape & GameSpace but have trouble preserving animations.

Umm, yeah, there is a .x importer for 3dsmax. But unfortunately its not cheap. Its called Polytrans, and there's a plugin for max. Check it out here: http://www.okino.com/conv/pt4max.htm

Its 400 dollars!
