i`m using cinema 4d, and i want to export my models into fps game maker. I created for example a human, how can i export it? (Cinema 4d can export the models into 3ds ). I have no ideea how 3dsmax works, but i can model very good in cinema and rig characters. Can somebody tell me how i must do to export the models, what extension, format i must use, what`s all the rigging stuff about?

Howdie... if you can export to 3DS, read this sticky thread:

I think it has all you need to know... I hope... Good luck.

Cinema 4D is a very good piece of software, I wish Maxon would pay more attention to the Game Developers Market.

It may be possible to export the model as a 3ds mesh, then use a file converter (like Ultimate Unwrap 3D) to change the mesh to a .X file.

As far as the texture and the animation, I am not sure.

Tell ya what. Send me the model in .3ds and I'll animate it in any spare time i get and export it to .x for you. Youre on your own for texture.

I'm pretty sure the latest version of c4d exports to direct x.

You may be better off asking this question on Psionics forums, he uses c4d to make game art.
