Ok, i've just got into game making and i should be getting FPSC in a couple of days now, but i'm just wondering what other pieces of software from the game creators can i use with it? Most importantly can i use 3D World studio to make a custom arena and then import it into FPSC. Just to tell you I can't code, thats why i'm going for FPSC. But I have extensive experience with both 3DS MAX and Maya.

not really FPSC has its own world editor although i think you may be able to import .x files from 3D world studio. you dont need much else really only other thing i can think of would be the texture maker

Thanks

Anything that creates an .x should work out for modelling, rooms, scenery, and items. You can put in the entities by hand, or try to work out how to use the entityeditor, though I have yet to put the time in to do this.

So I can just make my map in 3D world studio or Cartography shop 4 and then just import it as an entity into FPSC? Cool.
