I downloaded a Quake 2 BSP, it only came as a BSP, didn't have wad file with it! They store textures don't they?

Anyway, when I loaded it in DB Pro it looked like this: http://powerboards.sourceforge.net/rpgcyco/screenshots/dbpro_weirdbsp.jpg

Any idea how I could make it work? Do I need a wad file from Quake 2 or something? If someone wants I can send them the BSP.

LOL! Nice Screenshot!

Anyway, you do need a wad file (or in this case probably a pak file), because BSPs themselves contain no textures.

I like how DBP uses it's own textures on a BSP

i thought you could force BSP to only include textures used, to cut down file size and the externality (is that a word?) of a WAD? ...1 sec.............. ah yes! reading the ref with ZonersHalflife bsp tools:

HLCSG
-wadinclude file
place textures used from wad specified into bsp
This option will cause csg to include used textures from the named wadfile into the bsp. It does partial name matching, is not case sensitive, and can also match directory names. If multiple includes need to be done, -wadinclude must be specified multiple times, once for each include. Only textures actually used in the map are included into the bsp

I think that's a bit of subliminal advertising there

Cheers,
