I'm thinking about putting a hasp with a lock on the front; I just can't decide whether or not to make the lock 3D, or just part of the texture. What do you think?

I think your textures rock!
I love those hinges, so I'm sure a lock would be great.
The flat square black kind built in for a skeleton key would match one of the TGC keys great.
That would go well with the Tin work too.

A 3D Hasp would be kewl too of course.

Yeah, I think both.
Maybe even with a new looking grain of wood for the hasp one.
Light Oak or Maple maybe.
Yeah, Flaming Maple.

Wait a minute!
What good is a lock on a wooden chest anyways?

hehe he's right.. I was thinking how the chest would look from the side/perspective. Of course, less polys is always better!

Well, there's only 32 faces on the chest right now. I don't think a lock will put it over much, we'll see.
