Several changes tonight, mostly navigational:

1) New buttons at the top and bottom of every screen now to allow for much faster navigation. "Forum List" will take you back to the list of all the boards here, "go to top" will take you back to the list of the threads in the board you're currently reading. This feature used to exist by clicking the board name (and still does) but it just makes it easier now if you're at the bottom of the thread.

2) Paging updated and duplicated to bottom for faster movement.

3) Drop-down issue sorted out on some pages.

4) Forum name limit reduced to 3 letters instead of 4.

5) Avatars strip out suprious html tags now.

That's all I had time for tonight but will do lots more this coming weekend.

Cheers,

Rich

also, what are you going to make the boundries for hot, flaming threads?

I would also like to see poll's in the forum - as they can be helpful for gauging public response to something (only if you have the time ).

Yeah the problem with the login and posting problems were actually (get this...) TIMEZONE related! The session was set to timeout after only 1 hour. Sometimes local timezone settings munged this right up and you timed-out immediately. Now the timeout is 24 hours this won't happen.

Blacksaw - I'll add in a button for that, sure. Not checked mail yet today, will look later tonight.

Crawlin - no idea what boundaries to set yet, probably "25" posts for a hot topic? We'll see how it goes.

Cheers,

Rich

25 sounds about right.
Are you going to do a user post count (for each user and maybey overall)?

Wootini! Thanks for adding a next button on the bottom of each page!

I really love this forum, especially the design.

crap, I just made a new post about post counts. Sorry
Rich, lcould you make private post counts, so no one else can see them? This might reduce any spamming that it causes.
