I'm making a weapon creator application that creates and places all the needed files to get a weapon into your FPSC game.
I've hit a problem though. I can't figure out what the "damage type" property in the gunspec.txt file means? does anyone know this? if so please help.

Things that explode are damagetype = 0
Things that shoot bullets are damagetype = 1

Yet the Minigun, and the MOssberg have damagetype = 2 ?

I noticed that Manofart used damagetype = 2 on his Octopus gun.
So, he is the one to answer this for you.
Maybe it represents a subfolder in a directory.
I'm not sure.

Maybe you could try changing a weapon that has a zero to one or two to see what happens.
And vice versa on the other ones too.
Meaning if it has a one , then try a zero and then a two.
A test should give some kind of clue.

Damage Type 2 sends out a fan of rays to check for bullet collisions. A "blast" if you will, which also throws an enemy back in a certain direction. It also delivers much more "direct" damage, whereas the other damage is divided by a larger number.

Also, it would be cool to have an option where you can set the amount of bullets ejected from the gun.
