It appears that my video card, 3D Rage Pro AGP (aka Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2X according to Windows), is not compatible with DirectX 8.1. It appears that I either need an updated driver for the video card or a new video card. I went to ati.com but they don't list my video card by it's exact name in the product list for driver downloads. Can anyone answer the following:

1) Is there a driver update for my video card which will make it compatible with DirectX 8.1? If yes, can you give me information on what product name to use at the ati web site.

2) This card is pretty old so I wouldn't mind buying a new card. Can someone recommend a card for about $100 or less that is definitely compatible with DirectX 8.1?

GeForce 3 Ti200 possibly if you are lucky.

You will be able to get GeForce 4 MXs for that price but I would advise against it as they don't have full support for shaders and other advanced features.

NOBODY has a forum name as stupid as Darth Shader. I do.
