Inspired by KeithC's 'Merry Christmas everybody' thread

The zip includes the .x file, a .tga texture, .bmp thumbnail and a very basic .fpe

I'll leave it to more talented scripters to make it actually explode when you get near it!

The default file paths are meshbank\user and texturebank\user, but you'll probably want to change those if you decide the keep the model on your system.

As with anything I put up here, it's free for use in commercial projects. Just don't redistribute the mesh and/or texture separately.

Cheers

- Graham

wow! Thanks GPS! This looks awesome! Ask Conjured Entertainment for his landmine script!

ok, nevermind, I worked all day on it and got it working perfectly as a landmine! It explodes when you touch it, or when you damage it (I.E. shoot it/throw something at it)

JUst remmember to put the landmine.fpe file in the scriptbank, and all the other files go together wherever you want them.

IMPORTANT: unfortunatly, the script dosn't take care of EVERYTHING, you still need to place the mine into FPSC, then edit the properties (right click to get into the properties menu).
You need to change "Physics Force Damage" to "1000", and change "Physics weight" to "1000".

This will make the landmine VERY fun to use! Try making your own mine field, it's really fun!

P.S. Does anyone know the command for Physics Weight and Physics Force Damage? If I can figure that out, then I'll make it so the user dosn't have to do anything but place the Claymore model!

When FPSC develops enough, lets make a Redwall game!

Cool

One thing though, the claymore is a proximity mine/booby trap. For game purposes, it should really explode when you get within a certain distance of it. A real claymore can get you from about fifty meters away I envisioned the player using the rifle scope to spot them, then shooting them from a safe range.

RE:
"the claymore is a proximity mine/booby trap"
Sorry, the Claymore is a remote controled/trip-wire/booby trap device, there is no proximity sensor with this device (trust me, I've used them in combat).
This IS a very good likeness of the munition however, well done!

The claymore is a "static" munition. No proximity device included with this weapon. It will only explode by remote detonation or by trip wire (I know, I've used them many times in combat). Not to be an ass, but it helps when you want to make a good game. A VERY NICE rendition of the system though, well done!
-additionaly, sorry if this a double post (I've been drinking).

yes! A detonator would be awesome! I could do it if I had more time, but alas, that is the one thing I don't have
