Hi, I'm not a db-programmer, but a DiV2'one, for the ones who know:
-Does it code as easely as DiV?
-Is it from fasttrak?
-Why so expensive?
-How long does it take to be delivered?
-Is there a community?
-Is the manual any good?
-What is the big difference between db and db-pro?
- And Does the community help eachother out?

Hi,

1 - I've never used DiV so I can't comment, but there is a lot of source code around these forums - take a look at some and compare it to DiV to find out for yourself. This is a kinda subjective question anyway.

2 - They publish in the UK/Ireland, yes. But don't produce it.

3 - Considering what you get it's very affordable.

4 - Depends which country you are in.

5 - You're looking at one There are others too (RealGameTools, etc)

6 - Debatable, I'd have to say it's a good syntax reference but not a good training/learning aid. But we're addressing that with tutorials, etc.

7 - Speed, options, flexability, the fact DBPro is being updated, etc.

8 - Depending on how you phrase your questions - yes.

Cheers,

Rich

MUST KILL SPIDERMAN, MUST KILL SPIDERMAN

The Outside is a evil place to be, too much light, too much noise and too many distractions....
I went outside once and my FPS rate dropped to 5.

DBP is obviously a Basic based program and therefore only has on main program loop. Div uses multiple proccesses at once runing independantly, so in structure its very different.

I love both tho, I would personally say use DIV for 2d and DBP for 3d

Coming Soon! Kangaroo2 Studio... wait and quiver with anticipation! lol
