Thanks guys =)

Kang:
Gonna take some more time I'm afraid. I'm glad the deadline has been extended. There will be some battle shots with discription comming up on my site as soon as I get final patch 4.

Quoth:
The source will be released to the whole DB community later this month. I saw that you have signed up to my newsletter too =)

David:
It will be an official demo with no other one comming later. I'm gonna let the DB community test it first.

This is what Garth Thompson from Astral Entertainment thinks of TML so far:

"My favorite part is how it smoothly transitions between wandering and combat, and then between the characters in combat. Now that the colors are fixed TML is looking awesome."

Froggermon (RGT) got me inspired making grass. I had the idea before but never made any. Here's the entrance to Smal Town, the 2nd town in TML. To the left is the mountain I was standing on before, if you look closely you can actually see the grass textured mountain ramp in this shot.

I was thinking that maybe I should add some flowers too. Lots of objects like these shure makes the game look more alive =)

thats a cool shot. It would be nicer with more grass but it might slow it down a bit.

Thanks =) I'm gonna add more grass through the game but not extreme amounts as that would slow it down and take a lot of time to do.

Kang:
Thanks =) There are flowers comming and a tree.

RPG:
Thanks a lot =)

Pixels? Well, the landscape uses a 100x100 tiled matrix. Each tile have a 1024x1024 texture. That's 10000 tiles and 1048576 pixels/tile making the whole matrix 10485760000 pixels big =P

I use ambient light and light 0.

There are no winners except those making it to the CD and that's everybody that can complete their game in time.

P.S. you can set the distance of you fog plus colour it, try it sometime

DG: I cant wait

P.S. what is this about a CD? is this game going on a CD with loads of other games?..

Woops, each tile is only 128x128 =) The whole texture is 1024x1024.

petrat:
Yeah, TML and up to 8 (depending on how many that finish) other games featuring Pea-Guy will be put on a CD called "A-sock-elipse NOW!" and sold online. If we are lucky we will get a publisher and then the CD will make it to stores across US.

cool. If you use ShareIt then everytime someone orders the games, they will by writen on a CD and sent to that person. Its a one time setup fee of $150 though but its the best way to do it. Plus, the buyer pays for the CDs(postage & packing) so u dont have to. Shareit is better than PayPal..

Astral Entertainment will be making the CDs until we get a real publisher. They are the creators of Pea-Guy. Maybe I will sell CDs too as I got a registered company soon. ShareIt looks prety good. PayPal got much lower fees though but their whole system is so complicated. Digital Candle is also prety cheap but they are not as pro as ShareIt and bigger orders will be cheaper with ShareIt, they also got VAT handling and that's great for me. So acroding to me ShareIt sure seems like the best option to sell stuff online.

Rap is doing one of the games. Eoin and SopiSoft (over at RGT) are doing 2 other of the games. So far all games I have seen lately looks really good.

I just checked ShareIt again, the price is for each product sold. Makes it a lot more expencive then Digital Candle. If a product costs over $60 then it will be cheaper to sell it with SI then DC. Or if multiple copies of the same item is sold the SI cost/item will be drasticly lovered.

For us EU members having VAT calculated is great and since the USD is going up and down it's much better beeing able to set the price in euro, for non US sellers.

But just to add to your pile of truly deserved compliments, here is mine: Very Nice! Look how i capitilised the V and N and added a exclamation mark, just for you.

Seriously, it looks brilliant.

Demo is comming soon. I bet you never heard that one before =P

I can actually play the demo from start to finish now. It's just some other stuff that needs to be fixed. Mostly cosmetics. I had some company business to take care of lately. We can call it paperwork =)

Now the demo is a lot of fun to play. For testing I have played through it a few times now making sure it's not too hard to beat. This shot shows the 4th and last battle in the demo. I'm playing in 1024x768 that now works perfectly. Sorry, you won't get to play with Leah in the demo, buy the full version =P On my site I have listed the features of both versions.

It's the first time I'm playing against the neoneons (blue guys) myself. They turned out just great. They are fast and painful, attacking with hard to block electric shocks by chargeing into the heroes. They are easier to hit and kill the the white chompy but the damage they deal makes them very dangerous. Take them out as fast as possible.

As I said the demo is a lot of fun to play. When first testing the levelups and stats it feels kinda boring but when you actually start playing the game they become a lot more interesting. Choosing what upgrades you like most are a lot of fun (as usual). The shop included in the demo is also a lot of fun, using the gold gained through battles to buy new items so you can take on the next battle. It all works great and the game seems very vell balanced =)

You really shouldn't underestimate the power of blocking. Using Pea-Guy (with his high DEF) to attrackt the nasties attacks while the others take on the weeker nasties is a good strategy. Not only will the blocking make you block more attacks but it will also lower the damage recived. Waiting is also great so that you can distribute the damage taken on all heroes (you regain 10% life after every battle) by timeing the attacks of the enemies.

I just timed playing through the demo. If you don't die and you talk to everybody and read every sign and you're playing in normal pace it will take about 20 min to complete it. Making a guess based on that means that the full game will take about 3 hours to complete if you play ok and don't get stuck dying all the time. However if you wanna max the heroes by collecting experience it will take a lot longer. You will be able to reset all battles ahead of you by staying at the inn.

My todo list is almost covered with ink now instead of words =) I'm gonna make a few more things and then I'm gonna send it to Astral so they can test it and then I will work on the save files and then the DB community will get to test it before it goes public.
