When FPSC develops enough, lets make a Redwall game!

You mean a third-person camera? If your idea is to make a camera view like max payne or tomb raider(very classic, but oldies )then it's called a third person camera although I dunno how to do it, but it's possible... What you can do is (Easiest way)
Load a character instead of a gun

At least I can do that in the engine I wrote...

F:E:A:R: multiplayer- i go by the name revengerjon

Two separate main issues in FPSC here - doubt you will ever see it included but thats up to TGC if they want to be nice.

Yes No Way anyones going to achieve this on their own - well I cant see it anyway.

It really is a non starter.

Yes of course it would be great to have 3rd person perspective, multiple cameras and so on. Just not very realistic at all.

Hopefully I will be proven incorrect.

I think Rockdrala is impling some recoding, thus, although dificult, it can be done... still, I sense a headache.

I'm pretty sure I know everything. Doubts are something rare in me and I am never wrong, as this signature can prove.

If no one could acheive this, then how could TGC?
I think there are some people here that could mess with the source code to get it. But yes, I agree with you on the fact that we should leave it up to TGC, they could do it the best in this case.

This sounds like it would be most useful for Halo-style rolls, etc, where a quick flash to the 3rd Person would show the hero rolling out of the way of a rocket blast, etc.
If this could be done, you might even be able to plug a model of a vehicle in there, and have a driving game...hmm.

I reject your reality and substitute it with a full-on, guns-blazin' video game reality of my own.

Sunflash,

Perhaps I should have said that No user is likely to be able to achieve it then - though perhaps its not impossible.

Its just that the engine is not designed from the base up to support any of this as I can see it so its a major undertaking I would think which as you have rightly pointed out would be best achieved by TGC as its their engine and they at least should understand it best.

Actually getting a third person camera is easy, but toggling is a differnet matter. To create a third person camera make the gun the person acarying the gun. Same would work for vehicles.

Edit: just realised some one else said it soz

Multi Posting getting really annoying.

But why not just edit the source. Hell of a lot easier. Only issue is that you would need to rescale the gun models to fit on the person.

FOr third view how about just attach a person to a gun...? i know it sounds kinda stupid but think about it...alter a file to where the view is a little bit higher and back place a character with a gun attached animate the character and the gun and problem solved...
(probably not but it sounded allright in my mind)

That was his idea, but you can't toggle, and that is what he wants.

Rock, I think that you are "Personal attacks directed specifically at you" and "Sexual, political, nationality or religious discrimination" on the forum abuse button.

For the guns - if you use an enemy character model with the proper skeleton, then the vweap models could be used.

At first I was thinking of trying to fiddle with that in the source, but I don't know the FPSC engine that well yet so it will have to wait.

You could do anything by messing with the source code enough. It wouldn't be really easy --but code is code and they released it so go for it.
