In the Doc , you tell that DBPro can only display 8 lights simultaneously !
But you've also added a function called :
Return Integer=GET MAXIMUM LIGHTS()
that can tell how many lights can be displayed !
If the limitation is 8 why did you make a function to see the maximum ?
Theorically my GeForce IITI64 can display more than 8 lights simultaneously ( just try the NVIDIA LIGHTS demo to see ! )
and that function return 8

will DBPro evoluate with more lights visibles ?

Yeah I think it depends on your hardware. I got more than 8 lights in DBv1 with my setup. But if you want your game to run accross a broad range of systems your better off coding with the 7 light limit in mind.

yes but you could make an adjustable program that look for your configuration
It could be easy for my tool 3DMapEditor if I migrate it to DBPro to look and use the maximal number of lights available !

7 lights still?! Is that all?! I mean you could set up a routine which turns on the closest lights like freddix had done but it doesn't look natural.

7 lights, 1 for the ambient.

I love Star Trek.
Especially the Episodes with Starships in.

yeah way more, but it's not really much good if most systems only display the limit.

It's not DBP's fault, it's DirectX that limits it's programs to 7+1 lights.
