Only if you use a resource editing program.

man, I had the same question, I was hoping that when I finally get DBP in the mail, the manual would touch on the subject. That's highly disapointing that there is no way to change the Icon. It might not seem like a big deal but it kind of is.

Ya, you can include icons that appear when the program runs, but outside of that you get the ugly DBP standard logo. Too bad really but easy enough to fix I suppose, the problem is finding a good resource editor, any suggestions?

why you say icons that appear when the program runs, do you mean the icon that shows up in the systray? I saw the add icons in the project window but I thought that was for sprites or something.

Any files in the project window wont affect the running programs window icon.

I'm having a quick look to see if theres an API than can be used.

Simply locate the ICON tab in the project settings and choose an ICO file as your first icon. When you compile your final executable, it will use this icon in the taskbar and in the window title bar. I advise you download the latest editor too!

Its almost working - the taskbar icon is correct, but the window icon is the standard executable one (the box one).

Does it also change the shortcut/executable icon as well? or does it just give it that icon when its running.

I haven't even really gotten to those stages yet as I am still awaiting my copy of DBPro, which I should have gotten here by now. It's just been something I've had in the back of my mind.

It changes the executable icon, and the icon on the task bar, but not it seems for the window icon...

lol I've had this problem 4 ages now. It should work, but doesn't quite, as you've all discovered. I would be bitchin about it - BUT I now use InstallShield to make my proffessional products, and it fixes it, attaching icons to all instances You may find other cheaper installers do too

Coming Soon! Kangaroo2 Studio... wait and quiver with anticipation! lol
