Allright, i've been searching for weeks now. Trust me. I got every utility from the forums that has ever been mentioned.

Anyway. I want to make floors and walls for any segment. sadly..
I cannot use any textures of my own. perhaps it's how I set it up.

Here is how I did it to run into the problem.
(Click the Flash file)

Now.. I was wandering a few things.

A) Does the filenames have to MATCH? (floor.x to floor.tga?)
B) Specific Sizes matter?
C) Can I use JPG? or do I have to convert to another format.
D) Is there something I can do or something I am missing to get this wrong?

I read the tutorials. I looked over the forums. I'm completely stumped.

(I plan to open a website dedicated to content, tutorials and such for FPSCreator and a few productions I will be making with my group)

This is how you should name your stuff. First your folders. Make sure that your textures and your meshs are in the same spot IE Sports folder..spelt exactly the same way.


Lets say your x file is floor_a.x Your file shoudl look like

floor_a_01_D2.x

The D2 has something to do with the light map (I don't know) the 01 is the number of your texture nad the floor a is the x file. Just repeat this with everything! IE wall_a_04_D2

ok, I also need some help, I WOULD be able to use segment editor but when I downloaded it it took the form of a winzip. what do I do?

Sephian,

Open the zip file with WinZip. ( http://www.winzip.com/ ) Segment editor is zipped inside to compress the file size for smaller downloading. I think this is the information you asking for. Hope it helps.

But if you mean the thing that says segment editor on it, then it doesnt work, a black screen comes up for about 0.1 seconds then dissapears, and then about 0.2 seconds later a grey box pops up telling me of an error.

Yes, this entire retexturing process and using the segment editor has got me boggled. I suppose I could try downloading it again, but when I get to about 15% finished, it stops the download, and hands me off a "corrupted or invalid file".
Oh, and when I went right into the BIN file for the WWII wall to match my own tga, it gave me an error when I tried to use it.

I reject your reality and substitute it with a full-on, guns-blazin' video game reality of my own.
