FPSC Classic Models and Media / Its me again! But i still need help! Tutorial needed.

Okay this is my problem.

I want to create my own gun, (i mean i want to copy of colt and create my own texture, and change muzzleflash and some other tings.)

Now i know how to create texturex.

but, i create a folder: pistol

copy all the colt files to the pistol folder...

i change the texture, and BOOM!!!

i cant see the "pistol" in fpsc. What is the problem?


i need a tutorial plz help.

And thanks.

Ive done what the manual says.

But i dont see the new gun in entity folder in fpsc.

What should i do?

Im a newbie, but i got some ideas.

Unfortunatly your right out of luck. Gun's are so far the hardest thing's to add in to FPSC mainly due to the fact no one has figured out everything to do with them and the manual is somewhat lacking on information.

Ill give you the information that i know.
If you want to change the Colt's texture (NOT Shape) you will need to
a) Import the colt's mesh .x file into Milkshape and apply texture's from there.
b) Import the colt's vweap.x file and again change the texture
c) Import the colt's HUD.x and change the texture there.

Important Note:
If you change the texture you must make sure it look's right. For example if you have the gun retextured to look like a magnum then you will need to change the ainmation to fit. Which is not simple for a newcomer.

If you want to change the shape of the colt and retexture, be warned. this is hard and take's time. You need import the mesh as above, remodel it, reainmate it (Takes the longest time and make sure there is a FIREPOINT) and rextexture it.

In the end the community really need's to pull together and try to document FPSC weapon adding since TGC never bothered with it.
