What is that?

I remember hearing about it a long time. And Patch 4 finally will bring it out. Is it anything like BSP format?

No.

DBO stands for DarkBASIC Object. It is a mesh/object format, NOT a world format. DBO is something to use instead of X, 3DS, MD2 and MD3 formats - effectively the DarkBASIC equivilent of the Blitz B3D format.

The potential world format (may not come to fruition) is called DBW - for DarkBASIC World, and yes, this probably will be like the BSP format.

Current Project: Retro Compo. Entry.

Yeah, DBW... Anyway, can somebody tell me about it? Some DBDN member perhaps?

I didn't steal it!

There's not a lot to it at the moment - just ideas.

Basically though, you'll be able to load and position all your objects/lights etc, then save the world to a single file (including the objects/textures etc).

lmao if we get a DBpro Delux it probably wouldn't be free
that aside... as patch4 is now 'finished' - is there a change we can get to see this new DBO format?

i mean i'd like to get started on a Milkshape Exporter for this - and an eta on when patch4 is finally to be released would be good, surely must be within the next fornight?
